This film was originally made in Malayalam as 'Mani chitra tazha' a decade back. The same movie was dubbed and released in Telugu as 'Gajjela Chappudu' during that time. P Vasu remade this film in Kannada as 'Apta Mitra' with Vishnu Vardhan as hero last year. The same movie is now simultaneously remade in Tamil and Telugu with the title 'Chandramukhi'. The storyline of the film is neat and is different from regular flicks we get these days. There is a good amount of suspense element in this film.

Gopichand has shown tremendous variety in his histrionics. He is extremely casual and gave an effortless performance in romantic episodes with Anushka.
Jagapati Babu has given a very potential performance as an honest cop and as a family man. His role is not a guest role, but a full length character. Jagapati excels as dynamic cop.
Story of the film has little resemblance to Hindi flick Ghayal. But the storyline developed for this film has all emotions.

Aaduvari Matalaku Arthale Verule (AMAV)

Selvaraghavan, one of the most talented and successful directors in the Tamil film industry, tries a typical romance with his second Telugu venture Adavari Matalaku Ardhalu Verule (AMAV).
AMAV is an example for what an actor like Venkatesh can contribute to a script. This is probably the best performance Venkatesh has given so far. His comedy timing is ultimate. Doing such kind of comedy is extremely difficult.
The basic story of the film has uncanny resemblance to the film DDLJ. The characterizations and relationships are also similar for Venkatesh (Sharukh Khan), Kota (Aupam Kher), Trisha (Kajol), K Viswanath (Amrish Puri) and Colors Swati (Mandira Bedi).

Desamuduru

Allu Arjun developed a six-pack body for this film and made sure that all his muscles are shown well in fights and dances.

Music by Chakri is good. Picturization of the songs is also good.

First half of the film appeals to youth with love episodes in Kulu Manali. Second half caters to masses with racy action sequences. The plus points of the film are Allu Arjun’s work, Ali’s comedy thread and racy action episodes.

NTR at his best.NTR gave his some of the best performances of his career, especially in the scenes that lead to the interval. It will be not be an exaggeration to compare NTR Jr’s histrionics in the sister scenes to that of the legend NTR who made himself a strong position as ‘aadapaduchula anna’ in the black and white era.

The following shots by Krishna Vamsi stand out.

1. NTR running with the car while speaking to his sister when he sends her off.
